This illustration was born out of an idea of creating a comic book about skateboarding set on another planet. 9 worlds (hesh-world, tech-world etc), one solar system where every planet have their own god represented as a pro skateboarder who epitomize that world theme. Rodney Mullen would be the sun. We'll se if it sees the light of day, until then this illustration will act as a reminder for that project.

I wanted to create a dynamic and mystical skateboard illustration with a retro comic feel to it. I chose to focus on the filmer instead of the actual skater because I feel they don't always get the credit they deserve. Giving them a hero-feel and fire exterior.
